Summary of Current Role / areas of expertise

Lee is the Finance Director at Kirwans and is responsible for overseeing all financial operations across the firm. His role covers the full remit of finance leadership within a law firm setting, including strategic financial planning, budgeting, financial reporting, cashflow management, regulatory compliance (including SRA Accounts Rules), risk management, audit processes, and leading the finance team to support the firm’s continued growth and stability.

Lee began his legal finance career at Bermans Solicitors, where he spent 14 years as a Legal Cashier developing extensive expertise in legal accounts and compliance. He then moved to QualitySolicitors David Roberts & Co for two years, further broadening his experience within a busy practice environment.

Following this, Lee worked as a Legal Cashier at Hampson Hughes Solicitors and Black Norman Solicitors, continuing to build his knowledge of legal finance systems and operational processes before joining Kirwans in 2018.

Since joining the firm, Lee has progressed to Finance Director, bringing with him over two decades of specialist experience in legal finance and a deep understanding of the financial and regulatory framework within which law firms operate.
